Ingredients
1 orange (peeled and seed removed)
some orange peels
100g sugar
60g butter or oil
2 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla
200g self-raising flour
Directions
- pre-heat oven to 170°C
- prepare baking mold with parchment paper
- blend orange, peel, sugar, butter/oil, vanilla and eggs until smooth
- pour into a bowl and add sifted self raising flour
- gently fold in one direction
- pour batter into mold and tap to relase air bubbles
- bake for 30-40min till skewer comes clean
- cool, slice and enjoy!
Foodnote: I have this recipe in my notes so decided to bake it since I need to clear the self-raising flour that I kept in the fridge. Took an orange from office. Recipe seems easy and don't yield a big cake... just nice for me. The cake is nice but a bit dense compared to the lemon butter cake which is softer and airy.
